Véritables préludes flasques (pour un chien) 1/4 : Bruit rose Du 15 janvier au 5 avril 2014

Véritables préludes flasques (pour un chien) was a four part year long project at the Maison Populaire in Montreuil France by the curator Marie Frampier. My sculpture (FIGHT!) a crutch on a wheel was exhibited in part 1/4, the first exhibition titled Bruit Rose. The catalogue (5/4) is a conclusive document of the 4 exhibitions. A poem I wrote is also included in the catalogue as the artists were asked to submit extra materials in addition to the installation that would fit into the context of the project and could be printed into the catalogue. Here is a link with more information about the project:

As artists it is imperative that we create confrontational spaces in order to make room for pause so that there exist the potential for beauty to be uncovered in places and in moments that would normally go unnoticed.

there once was you

uncovered

child’s  foot

and i was mute

we were the tiniest frames for each other

pinhole brides

then one day we stood

back to back

and I ran and you walked

forward

in a line

and I found her

and now the wind is my wife

There is no thing that holds you
You run along the edge of my existence
You are Slippery Shoes
An icy gait
More steps to stair
No love to wait
You are cash to cling to
a fuck you face to sing to
I will spend all of you
In NO time Chasing you
You will change me
And I
will fade
as the day
time
takes
over
the last scent
from your pillow
dent.
